When changing our 2nd profession I think we should be able to get all skills for that profession that have been learned already. Instead of making the PVE players grind for skills points to tweak their new 2nd profession. Since we only get just a few skills on change and we can go back to Ascalon area to get few more skills from quest.

I disagree. That way you could unlock everything in pvp and have all your pve characters have full secundary profession skillsets out of the blue.

Okay lets say I have a W/M & R/N with all skills unlocked in PVE I go and change my 2ND profession in the desert and I change my W/M to W/N and I will only get just the core skills for the Necro even thought have them all unlocked on the R/N. If you want all your characters to have all the skills to more flexible in different situations you will have to grind forever on each character to get all the skills for you secondary professions.

PVP unlocks are just PVP correct? Yes they are, All the unlocks stay after you delete the toons since they are shared across all PVP Toons on the account.
PVE unlocks both but not sharead across the acount for PVE toons when chanings 2ndary profession and once they are unlocked they should be shared.

What’s the use of changing your secondary profession if you can't share the skills already learned like PVP toons?

The thing about this, is that PvE characters are more story-related, and the game requires you to spend time and money to get your character to be really flexible. If you're rich, you can buy all the skills you need for your new secondary at Ember Light Camp.

PvP is all about Faction, and you can always unlock skills, runes, mods of any class at any one time, that's why it's shared across the board, because you already have access to every skill, rune, and mod.

In the PvE world, where there is an economy, the purchasing of skills acts as a necessary gold-sink. If the economy didn't have gold-sinks, then there would be an abundance of money which would throw the economy out of whack.

And also, about the PvE world, is that it's a story about your character that you made. Each and every PvE character is a new tale about a new hero, no matter how corny that sounds. Think about this analogy for a second...

Say that in University I am studying for a degree in Architecture, and have taken two years of, say, Chemistry. Then, my friend is getting a degree Mathematics, while minoring in say, German linguistics.

Now, what if I chose to change my Chemistry, and decide to try learning German linguistics? I can't just talk to my friend and have everything he has learned just suddenly appear in my mind.

Now, I know what you're going to say, wah wah, it's a game, blah blah. But, the analogy makes sense since PvE characters are more story-line based than PvP made characters. PvE is VERY VERY different than PvP. PvP has no economy, no gold-sinks, but there is still the grind in unlocking everything, whereas in PvE you can just buy every skill for your character.

There's more to it, but I believe I've discussed it enough to get my point across.

PVE players that play for working up to PVP have to do the grind because of the advantages they get moreso than any pre-made or custom made PVP character. PVE players can have more weapon/shield/focus item sets, different armor sets that they can change in the middle of battle, better weapons/gear like the HOD sword and the HOD helm, some green weapons, just so many things that make them better overall when they reach PVP. So, they should earn everything for every character, never should it be like PVP and given easily like the faction system does. That is the PVP only players advantage, they can get skills faster and keep them, but, if a PVE player sticks to it for each character they can eventually surpass the pre-mades and custom builds as it should be because they earned that right and there should be that reward for having put that much time into the game. ALthough time is not required to be "competitive" it is required to be better equiped. (smile)

Sure you can buy all the none elite skills at Ember light camp giving you have enough money and skill points for the profesion that you just changed to. No need to bring real life into this discusion at all except that people have lifes and can't play the game 8+ hours a day like many people do. All I'm saying is that we need less grind or give us all the quest that we can do to get many of those skills and yes their will be some that you will have to buy from the skill trainers like before.

Okay, here's the deal. You want less grind right? Play a FPS game or some other non-MMORPG game. Seriously. Do you think this game has a lot of grind? Go play World of Warcraft and then come back and edit your post.

The thing about MMORPG's, and RPG's in general, is that in order to have better replayability/longevity, is that there HAS to be SOME FORM of grinding. If you never have to grind, you're always at the best status and have little to work towards, causing the longevity to plummet and causing the game to get boring eariler than a game with even a bit of grind.

Wise up.

How about this. Once you Accended, there will be a NPC somewhere (maybe in the Dragon Cave in crystal desert....) that will sell you the skill that you got before. Thus you still need to spend gold and skill points on them.

Now.. should that include the skill you unlock with PvP? I am not sure...
